What are Heritage Points?

Heritage Points (HP) are AfriCraft's reward system — a way of recognising and rewarding your engagement with African culture and craft. Unlike generic cashback schemes, Heritage Points are designed to grow with your cultural participation: you earn more not just by spending money, but by reviewing products, referring friends, and engaging with the platform.

How to Earn Heritage Points

Just creating your account earns you 50 Heritage Points immediately. They're waiting in your account right now.

First purchase (100 HP)

Your first completed purchase on AfriCraft earns a special bonus of 100 HP on top of your regular earning.

Every $1 spent (10 HP)

Every dollar you spend on AfriCraft earns 10 Heritage Points. Spend $50 and earn 500 HP. It adds up quickly.

Leave a product review (30 HP)

After your order is delivered, leaving a genuine review of the product earns you 30 HP. This also helps other buyers and supports the artisan — a genuine triple benefit.

Refer a friend (200 HP)

Share your unique referral code with a friend. When they sign up and make their first purchase, you earn 200 Heritage Points — and they get a 50 HP welcome bonus.

Your referral code is in your profile under the Heritage Points tab. You can share it directly or use the built-in WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter sharing buttons.

Your Tier Level

Heritage Points accumulate into tier levels that unlock additional benefits:

Bronze (0–499 HP) — Your starting tier. Basic access to all platform features.

Silver (500–1499 HP) — Unlocks early access to new product launches before they go live to all buyers.

Gold (1500+ HP) — Unlocks priority delivery on all orders and exclusive access to limited-edition drops from featured artisans.

Points Expiry

Heritage Points expire 90 days after they are earned. Check your Heritage Points tab regularly to ensure you use your points before they expire. Points earned from referrals and reviews have the same expiry window as purchase points.
